Aegean Heritage is a privately-owned, specialist food processing company based in Walsgrave, Warwickshire. We specialise in High Care, High Risk processing of food products, primarily Feta, Halloumi cheeses and Greek yogurt.
High quality products are sourced from the Mediterranean and the UK, Eire for processing and packaging. We also create bespoke recipes for clients in our high care trial kitchen to add value to the product.
What is High Care, High Risk processing?
Aegean Heritage has a purpose-built facility which can process any cheese/food product to very high hygiene standards.
High care aims to minimise product contamination from microbiological hazards where high risk aims to prevent micro contamination of products. Products produced in our high care areas have been through a micro reduction process prior to entering this area. High risk areas contain only components/foods which have undergone a cook or similar process. This is achieved through a range of factors, including a positive air environment, filtration and sanitization processes, protective clothing, specialist flooring, drainage and surfaces; hygiene junctions and personnel facilities.
Our facility and rigorous processes are audited and approved by M&S.
